Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join as flexible (temporary) postal delivery drivers. You will cover rounds by van and on foot, delivering letters and parcels in your community with a commitment to service and safety.

This role requires a full UK driving licence, the ability to walk long distances (up to 20,000 steps daily) and the stamina to lift mailbags up to 16 kg. Shifts vary and flexibility is essential.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, get in and out of your van regularly, and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary; we need team players who can adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• As a Post Person with Driving, you'll be the face of Royal Mail in your community, delivering letters and parcels come rain or shine.
• You'll drive your route and may complete parts on foot, ensuring items reach their destinations safely.
• You may need to handle election materials and certain items (e.g., food products or alcohol) per Royal Mail standards.
