Job summary

Tesco is seeking a Shift Lead to help drive store operations and customer service excellence. You will manage daily shifts, coordinate across departments, and be the acting leader in the Store Manager’s absence. A passion for service and team development is essential.

The role offers flexible hours, guaranteed weekly hours, and opportunities to grow within our inclusive Tesco team. 18+ only.

Qualifications

Experience in a team lead or management position in a fast-paced retail environment.
Strong service orientation and ability to meet customers' needs.
Clear communicator using multiple methods to keep the team informed.
Natural leader who motivates and inspires the team to deliver results.
Commitment to inclusive, supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

Leading the team to deliver a great experience for customers in-store.
Working across all areas of the store and with all colleagues, the go-to person for day-to-day operational queries.
Building positive, inclusive relationships that help colleagues perform at their best.
Confidently leading the store in the Manager’s absence.
Making balanced, flexible decisions and adapting well to change.
Coaching colleagues, giving feedback and role modelling great service.
