Job summary

RAC is hiring a Superflex Roadside Patrol. You’ll deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics, joining a flexible team across the UK with shifts 6am–2am and rostered days confirmed ahead.

You’ll diagnose faults, assist members, and maintain exceptional customer service while advancing your technical skills. The role offers a strong base pay and realistic OTE, with structured development and IMI accreditation opportunities.

Qualifications

• Driving licence (UK), fewer than 6 points.
• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Perform expert mechanical roadside repairs and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults and deliver quick, confident solutions.
• Work independently to diagnose faults and help members continue journeys.
• Adapt to a shift pattern including evenings, weekends and peak periods.
• Use latest diagnostic tools and maintain high customer service standards.
