Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join us as flexible (temporary) postal delivery drivers, the face of Royal Mail in your community as you deliver letters and parcels by van and on foot. You’ll need a full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points, be able to walk up to 20,000 steps daily and handle a mailbag up to 16 kg, with shifts that can change at short notice.

Pay varies by shift, typically from £13.69 to £16.44 per hour, with other rates announced

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day and carry a mailbag up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary; you must adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels as a Post Person with Driving.
• Drive the Royal Mail van around your delivery area and complete parts of the route on foot.
• Ensure items are delivered safely and in line with business standards, including election materials and controlled goods.
