Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join as flexible (temporary) postal delivery drivers. You’ll be the face of the service in your community, delivering letters and parcels come rain or shine.

Roles combine driving a Royal Mail van with on-foot delivery, require a full UK manual licence, physical fitness, and the ability to adapt to shift changes. Shifts vary across daytime, evenings and weekends; a driving assessment is required on start.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk up to 20,000 steps a day and carry mailbags weighing up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary; we need team players who can adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels across your community in a Royal Mail van and on foot.
• Pass a driving assessment at start and comply with Royal Mail standards.
• Provide friendly service in all weathers and ensure items reach their destinations safely.
