Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join as flexible (temporary) postal delivery drivers. You will be the face of the service in your community, delivering letters and parcels come rain or shine. The role mixes driving a Royal Mail van with parts of the route on foot and requires high physical effort.

Shifts vary and you must be prepared to pass a driving assessment on start. Competitive pay will reflect different shift blocks and times, with a commitment to excellent service in

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, get in and out of your van regularly, and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary, so we need team players who can adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Be the face of Royal Mail in your community, delivering letters and parcels come rain or shine.
• Drive your delivery area and complete parts of your route on foot, providing exceptional service.
• Securely deliver all items on your route and follow Royal Mail standards for delivery of election materials and certain items.
