Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking enthusiastic, flexible Post Person with Driving to join our team. You will deliver letters and parcels, driving a Royal Mail van and occasionally walking parts of your route to ensure on-time delivery in your community.

You’ll be the face of Royal Mail in your neighbourhood, staying active outdoors and upholding safety and service standards. A full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points, plus the ability to adapt shifts at short notice, are essential.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Ability to walk 20,000 steps a day and carry a mailbag up to 16kg.
• Flexibility to adapt shifts at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels as the face of Royal Mail in your community, driving a Royal Mail van and occasionally walking parts of the route.
• Securely deliver all items on your route, including election materials and items such as food products or alcohol, in line with Royal Mail standards.
• Work flexibly to provide excellent service and ensure every item reaches its destination.
