Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join as flexible (temporary) postal delivery drivers. You’ll be the face of Royal Mail in your community, delivering letters and parcels across your round and staying active throughout the day.

Role requires a full manual UK driving licence with up to 6 points, physical fitness to walk and handle mailbags, and flexibility to adapt shifts. Driving a Royal Mail van is part of the role, and a driving assessment is required on start.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day and handle a mailbag up to 16kg.
• Shifts vary and require adapting at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels across your round, come rain or shine.
• Drive a Royal Mail van for parts of your route and walk segments on foot.
• Deliver election materials and items in line with Royal Mail standards.
