Job summary

SEND Inclusion Support in the United Kingdom is seeking a compassionate Nurture Teacher to support students with SEND, SEMH, and EBSA. You will deliver tailored lessons and foster emotional and academic growth in a flexible, supportive setting.

You will teach in libraries or at students' homes, with hours you can choose within the school day, enabling you to balance commitments while making a meaningful impact on learners who need extra support.

Qualifications

  • PGCE with QTS is required; experience with SEND/SEMH/EBSA is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Flexible, proactive approach to teaching and problem solving across settings.
  • Commitment to nurturing, inclusive and safe learning environments.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver, and assess tailored lessons for students with SEND, SEMH and EBSA.
  • Offer flexible hours within the school day and adapt to various settings.
  • Work in libraries or at students' homes to suit each learner's needs.
  • Create a safe, supportive environment to foster social, emotional and academic growth.
  • Collaborate with parents, carers and external agencies on progress and wellbeing.
  • Track student progress and adapt teaching strategies as needs evolve.
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
