Job summary

Prospero Teaching is partnering with a highly supportive SEND school to recruit a Nurture Teacher. You will plan differentiated lessons and create an inclusive, nurturing environment to support pupils with ASC, SEMH, ADHD, and complex learning needs.

The role focuses on developing emotional wellbeing, confidence, resilience, and social skills, while collaborating with therapists and senior leaders to tailor approaches and track progress.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience in SEND, Alternative Provision, specialist settings, or mainstream education with additional needs.
• Nurturing and trauma-informed approach to teaching.
• Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills.
• Patient, resilient and passionate about supporting vulnerable learners.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual pupil needs.
• Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes emotional wellbeing.
• Develop positive relationships with pupils, families, and multidisciplinary professionals.
• Support pupils in developing confidence, resilience, and social skills.
• Implement behaviour support strategies and nurture principles throughout the school day.
• Monitor and track pupil progress, adapting teaching approaches where required.
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and senior leaders.
