Job summary

Marston’s is seeking a Sous Chef to lead on the kitchen floor and support the Head Chef in delivering high-quality dishes. You’ll run the line during service, oversee the team, and help develop their skills in a fast-paced pub setting.

You’ll bring branded kitchen experience, a passion for exceptional food, and a collaborative approach to ensure consistency and guest satisfaction across all shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience as Sous Chef or Commis Chef in a branded pub/restaurant environment.
• Ability to support Head Chef and run the line during service.
• Strong leadership and teamwork to develop kitchen staff.

Responsibilities

• Be right in the action in our kitchen, second in command to our Head Chef – stepping up and covering for them when they’re not on shift.
• Assist our Head Chef in managing all aspects of the kitchen
• Accountable for running the line during service
• Oversee, organise, and encourage the kitchen team - helping to develop their skills
• Be passionate about maintaining the highest standards of food and service
