Job summary

Marston's is seeking a Sous Chef to join our pub kitchen and lead the kitchen team in the Head Chef’s absence. You will be right in the action, running the line during service and supporting daily kitchen operations with passion for quality food.

You’ll have branded experience or be an experienced Commis Chef ready to develop your leadership skills, maintain high standards, and drive exceptional guest experiences in a lively pub environment.

Qualifications

• Previous branded experience in a similar role or as an experienced Commis Chef
• Assist Head Chef in managing all aspects of the kitchen
• Run the line during service
• Oversee and develop the kitchen team
• Maintain the highest standards of food and service

Responsibilities

• Be in the action in our kitchen, second in command to our Head Chef – stepping up and covering for them when they’re not on shift
• Offer leadership to the kitchen team and ensure smooth service
• Run the line during busy service and maintain quality control
• Support Head Chef with daily kitchen management
• Promote high standards of food safety and presentation
