Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join as flexible postal delivery drivers (temporary). You will drive a Royal Mail van on a route, occasionally delivering on foot and interacting with customers in the community.

The role emphasizes outdoor activity, with shifts that can start early or late and require passing a driving assessment on start. Applicants should be physically fit and able to handle up to 16 kg mailbags.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, get in and out of the van, and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary and require team players who can adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels across your delivery area, primarily on foot and by van.
• Securely deliver all items on your route and handle election materials where required.
• Represent Royal Mail with a high level of service in the community.
