Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join as flexible (temporary) postal delivery drivers. You will deliver letters and parcels across your route, mixing driving and walking throughout the day, while maintaining high service standards for communities.

Typical shifts vary and earnings reflect multiple pay rates; drivers may handle election materials and comply with Royal Mail guidelines. Pass a driving assessment upon start and stay active outdoors.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, get in and out of your van regularly, and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary, so we need team players who can adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels in your delivery area, using a mix of driving and walking.
• Drive the Royal Mail delivery van and ensure safe, secure delivery of items.
• Handle and deliver election materials and certain items in line with Royal Mail standards.
