Job summary

Royal Mail is hiring enthusiastic individuals for flexible (temporary) postal delivery driver roles. You will drive a Royal Mail van and deliver letters and parcels, with parts of the route completed on foot.

Shifts vary and you must be adaptable to short-notice changes. A driving assessment is required on start, with duties including handling items such as election materials in line with Royal Mail standards.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, in and out of the van, carrying a mailbag up to 16kg.
• Shifts vary; you must be flexible and able to adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels along your route, on foot and by van.
• Securely deliver all items, including election materials, in line with standards.
• Provide excellent service in all weather and neighbourhoods, rain or shine.
• Complete driving assessment as part of onboarding.
