Job summary

Royal Mail is hiring flexible (temporary) postal delivery drivers. You will deliver letters and parcels by van and on foot within your community, ensuring items reach their destinations reliably and safely.

Role involves walking large distances, driving a Royal Mail van, and passing a driving assessment on start. Opportunities vary by shift with competitive hourly rates and local pay scales.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, get in and out of your van regularly, and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary, so we need team players who can adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels by van and on foot within your delivery area.
• Securely deliver all items, including election materials and restricted items as per Royal Mail standards.
• Represent Royal Mail and provide exceptional service in the community.
