Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join as flexible (temporary) postal delivery drivers. You will be the face of Royal Mail in your community, delivering letters and parcels, driving a Royal Mail van, and sometimes walking portions of your route to complete deliveries.

Shifts vary and drive a dynamic, outdoor role; you must be prepared for long walking days and a driving assessment on start. Competitive pay is offered with multiple shift options.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, get in and out of your van regularly, and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary, so we need team players who can adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels as part of your round, driving a Royal Mail van and completing parts of your route on foot.
• Securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and items such as food products or alcohol in line with Royal Mail standards.
• Provide exceptional service to customers and ensure items reach their destination safely come rain or shine.
