Job summary

Royal Mail is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join us as flexible (temporary) postal delivery drivers.

As a Post Person with Driving, you’ll be the face of Royal Mail in your community, delivering letters and parcels come rain or shine while you drive and walk parts of your route.

Shifts vary, with rates from £16.24 to £19.00 per hour and you’ll need a full UK driving licence with up to 6 points and the stamina to walk long distances.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, get in and out of your van regularly, and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary, so we need team players who can adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• As a Post Person with Driving, you’ll be the face of Royal Mail in your community, delivering letters and parcels come rain or shine while you drive and walk parts of your route.
• You’ll securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.
• This role is a vital service at the heart of every neighbourhood; you’ll take pride in your work and be happy to work flexibly.
