Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking flexible (temporary) postal delivery drivers to join our team in the community. You will drive a Royal Mail van and deliver letters and parcels, with portions of your route completed on foot to ensure timely delivery.

You’ll need a full UK manual driving licence, be prepared to walk up to 20,000 steps daily, carry bags up to 16 kg, and adapt to varying shifts. This role supports local communities and daily operations.

Qualifications

• Driving Licence: Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points – you’ll be driving a Royal Mail van as part of your round.
• Physical Fitness: Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, get in and out of your van regularly, and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.

Responsibilities

• Be the face of Royal Mail, delivering letters and parcels in your community.
• Drive around your delivery area, with parts of the route completed on foot.
• Securely deliver all items and handle election materials per standards.
