Job summary

Compass Community is seeking a dedicated Children's Support Worker on a flexible, zero hours basis to support our residential homes and specialist schools in England. You will help children feel safe, valued and able to achieve their potential across settings, with training provided.

You'll work across Residential and Education services, building positive relationships, supporting wellbeing and daily routines, and promoting safeguarding as part of a therapeutic team. Driving license desirable.

Qualifications

  • Caring, resilient and enthusiastic individuals with a passion for helping children.
  • Ability to work across different services and locations.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare.
  • Full UK driving licence is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Build positive, trusting relationships with children and young people.
  • Support emotional wellbeing, confidence and independence.
  • Encourage participation in education, activities and daily routines.
  • Provide a safe, caring and nurturing environment.
  • Support positive behaviour using therapeutic approaches.
  • Assist with learning and classroom activities in specialist schools.
  • Help children develop life skills and achieve goals.
  • Work with Residential, Education and Therapeutic teams.
  • Promote safeguarding and high standards of care.
  • Must be able to travel to Westbury for this role.
