Responsibilities include real-time monitoring, troubleshooting software issues, and ensuring the successful execution of operations. The Fleet Operations Engineer reports to the on-shift Mission Director (MD) and performs all activities and tasks necessary to operate the fleet of OneWeb satellites and the Satellite Operations Center (SOC) systems. The Ops Engineer role is a real-time shift position. Control of the fleet is highly automated and therefore the Ops Engineer is an expert in operation of the command and control, mission management, and ground control applications software, the satellite subsystems, and interfaces to other elements of the system. The Ops Engineer plays an integral role in the successful operations of the OneWeb constellation.
