Job summary

Auto Skills UK at the Berkeley depot is seeking a Hire Fleet Coordinator to manage the end-to-end hire process—from enquiry to delivery and invoicing. You will combine sales activity with top-tier customer service and fleet administration to optimise utilisation and profitability.

The role requires strong communication, organisational skills, and a proactive approach. You will work with drivers and support teams, maintaining accurate records and generating regular fleet and sales reports.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in telephone sales, customer service or a similar commercial role.
• Confident communicator with a strong telephone manner.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Able to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
• Full clean UK driving licence.
• A proactive, customer-focused approach with a genuine interest in sales.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming enquiries and generate new business through outbound sales calls.
• Manage vehicle hire orders from enquiry through to delivery and invoicing.
• Build strong relationships with new and existing customers.
• Coordinate vehicle availability and delivery drivers to maximise fleet utilisation.
• Complete hire documentation and ensure records are accurate and compliant.
• Produce regular reports on fleet, hires and sales activity.
• Maintain customer and vehicle information on internal systems.
• Identify vehicle damage and manage customer recharges where required.
• Work closely with the Hire Fleet Manager, Workshop, Service and Logistics teams.
