Job summary

PDT Fleet Training Solutions is seeking Freelance Fleet Driver Trainers to deliver a mix of classroom and on-road driver induction or upgrade courses across Great Britain. You will work on client premises, conducting half- and full-day coaching and assessments using Category B vehicles, with responsibility for timely reports.

Flexibility to choose working days, with rates from £105 half-day to £210 full-day; occasional weekend work and fuel supplements offered.

Qualifications

• Desirable qualifications include being accredited as an ADI Fleet Trainer or recorded on the LGV National Instructors Register (NIR).
• Proactive approach to delivering engaging and inclusive training (positive driver behaviours are to be promoted).
• Experience delivering courses in electric vehicles (free upskill training available to the right applicants).
• Professional delivery of safe driving PowerPoint presentations and clear report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver half- and full-day coaching and assessment sessions on client premises (Category B vehicles, mostly vans).
• Prepare timely, accurate assessment reports after sessions.

Job description

This contract role seeks a Fleet Driver Trainer in Leeds, offering £150 daily. The position involves delivering classroom and on-road induction or upgrade courses to prestigious clients. Working on client premises, the trainer will conduct half and full-day coaching and assessment sessions using category B vehicles, predominantly vans. Half-day courses last four hours. Duties include completing precise assessment reports promptly. Candidates should possess strong instructional abilities, a solid understanding of road safety, and relevant driving qualifications. The role requires flexibility, professional communication skills, and the capacity to assess driver competence effectively. This is a freelance arrangement, providing services across Great Britain for a growing fleet training provider. PDT Fleet Training Solutions is looking to onboard several Freelance Fleet Driver Trainers/ Instructors/ Assessors at multiple locations across Great Britain. This role involves working with prestigious clients and delivering a mix of classroom and on-road driver induction or upgrade courses at locations across the country.

As a Freelance Fleet Driver Trainer, your duties will include the following:

• Delivering both half and full-day coaching and assessment sessions on client premises in category B Vehicles (mostly vans).
• Half-day courses are 4 hours in duration.
• Timely completion of an accurate assessment report.

The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience:

• Desirable qualifications include being accredited as an (ADI) Approved Driving Instructor Fleet Trainer or recorded on the LGV National Instructors Register (NIR).
• A proactive approach to delivering engaging and inclusive training (positive driver behaviours are to be promoted).
• Experience in delivering courses in electric vehicles (free upskill training is available to the right applicants).
• Professional approach to the delivery of safe driving PowerPoint presentations.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
• Your laptop and printer (all course presentation material is provided by PDT).
