The successful candidate will deliver half and full-day induction or upgrade courses, combining classroom sessions with on‑road assessment in category B vehicles, primarily vans. Half-day courses run for four hours. Duties include timely completion of precise assessment reports following each coaching session. Applicants should hold relevant instruction or assessing qualifications, possess strong communication skills, and demonstrate confidence when evaluating drivers. Flexibility to travel to client premises is essential. This freelance position suits experienced instructors seeking varied assignments with prestigious clients across Great Britain.

PDT Fleet Training Solutions is looking to onboard several Freelance Fleet Driver Trainers/ Instructors/ Assessors at multiple locations across Great Britain. This role involves working with prestigious clients and delivering a mix of classroom and on‑road driver induction or upgrade courses at locations across the country. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work for the UK's fastest growing and forward‑thinking providers of fleet driver training.

Responsibilities

• Delivering both half and full-day coaching and assessment sessions on client premises in category B vehicles (mostly vans).
• Half-day courses are 4 hours in duration.
• Timely completion of an accurate assessment report.

Qualifications and Experience

• Desirable qualifications include being accredited as an (ADI) Approved Driving Instructor Fleet Trainer or recorded on the LGV National Instructors Register (NIR).
• A proactive approach to delivering engaging and inclusive training (positive driver behaviours are to be promoted).
• Experience in delivering courses in electric vehicles (free upskill training is available to the right applicants).
• Professional approach to the delivery of safe driving PowerPoint presentations.
• Excellent communication and report‑writing skills.
• Your laptop and printer (all course presentation material is provided by PDT).
