Job summary

Kautec Recruitment is seeking a Fleet Control Senior to oversee a busy maintenance control department in Gloucester. You will mentor a small team of controllers, schedule repairs and visits for field engineers, manage FNOL cases and chase progress with core Garages and third-party providers.

The role focuses on minimizing vehicle downtime, understanding repair costs, and ensuring efficient stock levels. IT systems knowledge (Kerridge, DMS, SAP) and MS Office skills will support daily operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in supervising and mentoring a small team of Controllers.
• Experience scheduling repairs, inspections and bookings for field engineers.
• Knowledge of FNOL (First Notice of Loss) processes and warranty repairs is a plus.
• Understanding maintenance spend and cost awareness is important.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and mentoring a small team of Controllers
• Scheduling repairs, inspections and booking visits for the Field Engineers
• FNOL First notice of Loss situations
• Chasing progress with a network of your own core garages and a chosen network of 3rd party maintenance providers
• Logging repair and maintenance notifications
• Ensuring the field service team have a maximum utilisation
• Maintaining updates on stock/ parts and ensuring correct levels
• You will be chasing up recoveries as a consequence of breakdowns & accidents. You will also be chasing up repair providers to analyse and action defects
