Axis CLC Group is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Controller to develop and implement strategic maintenance programs for a diverse UK fleet, balancing cost control with reliability and safety. You will drive supplier negotiations, compliance, and continuous improvements across operations.

You will lead maintenance scheduling, repairs coordination, downtime minimisation, and data-driven optimisation while collaborating with senior leadership and external partners to deliver efficient, compliant fleet

Qualifications

• Proven track record in managing large-scale fleet maintenance operations.
• Experience in cost control, budgeting, and procurement within a fleet function.
• Demonstrated success in implementing fleet compliance and accreditation programs.
• Experience leading a fleet maintenance team and mentoring junior staff.

Responsabilités

• Oversee structured maintenance plans for all company vehicles, including long-term hires and company cars.
• Coordinate repairs with external providers to maintain service quality and cost efficiency.
• Lead breakdown response strategies and minimise downtime across the fleet.
• Establish, negotiate and manage supplier SLAs to ensure value-driven partnerships.
• Ensure transport accreditation and regulatory compliance are met across the organisation.
• Oversee procurement and cost management of tyres and maintenance components.
