Job summary

Nationwide Platforms is looking for a General Manager to lead our Glasgow depot, taking responsibility for operational performance, profitability and people leadership in one of our flagship depot operations. You will oversee a complex operation with fleet and customer activity, manage budgets, and develop department heads to build high-performing teams while delivering outstanding service.

The role offers a salary from £60,000 p.a.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading a sizeable depot or similar operation.
• Strong commercial acumen with budgets and costs management.
• Experience leading through managers and developing future leaders.
• Passion for continuous improvement and operational performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead a flagship depot operation and deliver outstanding operational performance.
• Take ownership of depot profitability, budgets and year-on-year performance.
• Lead and develop a team of department heads to create high-performing teams.
• Ensure all departments work together to fulfil customer requirements and deliver service.
• Drive a customer-first culture and keep customers at the heart of activities.
• Optimise fleet utilisation, resource planning and productivity.
• Use data and KPIs to drive informed decisions and improvements.
• Champion continuous improvement across processes and customer service.
