Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Coventry is seeking a Warehouse First Line Manager to lead a safe, efficient operation across shift patterns (7am–3pm or 3pm–11pm) on a permanent, full-time basis.

You will supervise the day-to-day running, implement work instructions, track KPIs, update daily resource planning, and foster a proactive, trained team in a busy logistics environment. The role offers a discretionary bonus, a strong pension, and a range of staff benefits.

• Previous First Line Manager Experience
• IT literate with Microsoft Office Packages
• Experience of working in a busy supply chain environment
• Strong operational knowledge of logistics and warehousing
• Strategic mindset with a passion for problem-solving
• Natural leader with excellent communication skills and ability to inspire your team

Responsibilities

• Supervise the running of a safe and efficient operation, ensuring adherence to Operational Standards and defined outcomes for your area/shift
• Ensure processes established on Work Instructions and training on Excellence School are followed
• Identify and bring new standards to the operation
• Communicate Objectives & KPIs to your team, track and report results
• Ensure clear Roles & Responsibilities for your position and team
• Update Daily resource planning for next shift based on volume data

Pay Rate: £30,000 to £32,000 (Dependent on Experience)

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: Tuesday to Saturday OR Sunday to Thursday (To be confirmed at interview*), 7am to 3pm & 3pm to 11pm

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Supervise the running of a safe and efficient operation, working within clear guidelines to help achieve Operational Standards and defined outcomes for your responsibility area / shift approach.
• Ensure current processes established on Work Instructions and trainings on Excellence School.
• Identify and bring new standards to operation.
• Communicate Objectives & KPIs applicable to your team (coordinators), align the expected frequency for tracking them, how the results are calculated and on which reports they can find the results
• Have clear understanding of Roles & Responsibilities applicable to your position and to your team
• Update Daily resource planning for next shift, based on latest volume and volume profile information
