Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Coventry is seeking a proactive Warehouse First Line Manager to lead our busy operation and drive safety, efficiency and targets.

You’ll supervise the team, implement standards from Work Instructions, and communicate KPIs while shaping shift plans based on volume; this role rewards initiative with a discretionary bonus and pension benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous First Line Manager experience in a warehouse or logistics setting.
• Strong IT skills with Microsoft Office and warehouse management systems.
• Experience in a fast-paced, busy supply chain environment.
• Good understanding of logistics operations and safety standards.
• Strategic thinker with clear communication and team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Supervise safe, efficient warehouse operations and meet KPIs.
• Ensure adherence to Work Instructions and Excellence School trainings.
• Identify opportunities to raise performance standards.
• Set objectives and KPIs for the team and report results.
• Plan daily resources for upcoming shifts based on volume.

Pay Rate: £30,000 to £32,000 (Dependent on Experience)
Grade: N
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: Tuesday to Saturday OR Sunday to Thursday (To be confirmed at interview*), 7am to 3pm & 3pm to 11pm
Location: Coventry

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Supervise the running of a safe and efficient operation, working within clear guidelines to help achieve Operational Standards and defined outcomes for your responsibility area / shift approach.


• Ensure current processes established on Work Instructions and trainings on Excellence School.


• Identify and bring new standards to operation.


• Communicate Objectives & KPIs applicable to your team (coordinators), align the expected frequency for tracking them, how the results are calculated and on which reports they can find the results


• Have clear understanding of Roles & Responsibilities applicable to your position and to your team


• Update Daily resource planning for next shift, based on latest volume and volume profile information
