Job summary

AlertSystems is seeking a Fire & Security Engineer to service and repair Fire, Intruder Alarms, CCTV and Door Access Control Systems across the West Midlands, including Coventry.

The role is field-based with a requirement to work on IP CCTV and to participate in an emergency callout rota. A UK driving licence and right to work in the UK are essential, with benefits including training and a company van. Interviews via Teams or phone.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years industry experience servicing, maintaining and fault finding on multiple security disciplines.
• Basic knowledge of IP Networking.
• Willingness to learn and develop in a fast-paced Security Industry.
• IP CCTV experience is required.
• UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Attend commercial sites within a designated radius to service electronic security systems: Intruder Alarms, Door Access Control, CCTV and IP CCTV.
• Maintain Fire & Security Systems.
• Fault find and remedial repairs on CCTV, Intruder Alarms and Door Access Control, Gate, Barrier & Turnstile Systems.
• Carry out on-site health & safety risk assessments.
• Effectively communicate with customers.

Fire & Security Engineer – based in or around Coventry

We are recruiting a field based, experienced service engineer from the Fire & Security Industry, who can competently service and repair Fire, Intruder Alarms, CCTV and Door Access Control Systems plus gate, barrier & turnstiles. Candidates will ideally be based in or around Coventry.

Interviews will be conducted via Microsoft Teams, or phone, on a date/time to suit your working day.

What you’ll be doing –

• Attend commercial sites, within a designated geographical radius, to service electronic security systems: Intruder Alarms, Door Access Control Systems, CCTV and IP CCTV Systems.
• Maintain Fire & Security Systems.
• Fault find and remedial repairs on CCTV, Intruder Alarms and Door Access Control, Gate, Barrier & Turnstile Systems.
• Carry out on-site health & safety risk assessments.
• Effectively communicate with customers.

What we’re looking for –

• Minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience in servicing, maintaining and fault finding on the various disciplines that we support and offer.
• Basic knowledge of IP Networking.
• Willingness to learn and develop in a fast-paced Security Industry.
• Product knowledge of the following will be beneficial but is not essential: Intruder: Texecom, Scantronic, Galaxy, Pyronix; Door Access Control: Paxton, TDSi, Maxxess, Honeywell, Gallagher; CCTV: Avigilon, Hikvision, Samsung and Dahua.
• Must have experience working on IP CCTV.
• Will be required to work on Emergency Callout rota.
• A UK driving licence and right to work in the UK required.
• A current ECS card is beneficial.
• A current IPAF licence is also beneficial.

What we offer –

• A basic annual salary of £32,000 – £37,000 (depending on skill set) for working 40 hours a week Monday-Friday + overtime opportunities + standby £250 per week (rota system 1 in 5 weeks) + call-out @ £30 per hour + additional benefits.
