Job summary

System Recruitment is seeking an experienced Fire and Security Service Engineer to join a leading consultancy delivering maintenance and callouts across commercial, industrial and domestic sites in the North East region.

The role is Monday–Friday with an on-call rota; requires at least 5 years in servicing intruder alarm, CCTV, and fire alarm systems, and a full UK driving licence. A company vehicle and pension are included.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 5 years' experience in servicing/maintaining security/intruder alarm systems.
• Experience with Galaxy systems at minimum is required.
• Exposure to multiple system types (Texecom, Scantronic, Menvier etc) is preferred.
• Experience with CCTV (analogue and IP) and remote monitoring setup is expected.
• Experience with fire alarm systems, Advanced systems preferred, across various brands.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and corrective callouts on electronic fire and security systems.
• Handle on-site fault finding and service visits at commercial, industrial and domestic sites.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and company procedures.

A leading Fire and Security consultancy have an immediate requirement for an experienced Fire and Security Service Engineer to join them.

Location: Multiple - North East (Durham, Newcastle Upon Tyne, Stockton-on-Tees, Sunderland, Middlesbrough)

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 + overtime & travel (salary negotiable dependent on experience) OTE £60k+

As Fire and Security Service Engineer you role will include routine maintenance and corrective call out jobs to electronic fire & security systems at a range of commercial, industrial and domestic sites in the abovementioned areas. The role is Monday-Friday with an on-call rota for out of hours. On-call rota is currently 1 week in 6.

Must have at least 5 years' experience in servicing/maintaining:

Also required:

• A positive attitude and willingness to learn


• Excellent attendance record in previous employment


• Computer literacy (our engineers use PDAs)


• Be willing to have security screening undertaken (as per industry standard)


• Full UK driving licence
