Job summary

HSB Technical's client in North Somerset is seeking an experienced Fire & Security Engineer to install, service and maintain Fire Alarm Systems, Intruder Alarms, CCTV and Access Control across commercial and residential sites.

You will work on a rota, hold a full UK driving licence and join a team supported by a company van, pension and other benefits. The role covers Southwest England and South Wales with on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience within the fire and security industry.
• Strong knowledge of installation and servicing of multi-discipline systems.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Good communication and customer-facing skills.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rota.

Responsibilities

• Installation, servicing, and maintenance of Fire Alarm Systems, Intruder Alarms, CCTV, and Access Control Systems.
• Fault finding and rectification across security and fire platforms.
• Work across commercial and residential client sites.
• Ensure all work meets industry standards and company procedures.
• Complete job reports and documentation using company software.
• Participate in an on-call rota (one week in four).
• Provide excellent customer service and technical support.

Rate/Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 per annum (negotiable depending on experience) + commission per contract secured

HSB Technical's client is an established and well-regarded fire and security company based North Somerset, supporting customers across the Southwest of England and South Wales. The business continues to grow and is now seeking an experienced engineer to strengthen their team.

Duties and responsibilities of the Fire & Security Engineer:

• Installation, servicing, and maintenance of Fire Alarm Systems, Intruder Alarms, CCTV, and Access Control Systems
• Fault finding and rectification across a variety of security and fire platforms
• Working across commercial and residential client sites
• Ensuring all work is completed to relevant industry standards and company procedures
• Completing job reports and documentation using company software
• Participating in an on-call rota (one week in four)
• Providing excellent customer service and technical support
• Maintaining company vehicle, tools, and equipment

Qualifications and requirements for the Fire & Security Engineer:

• Minimum of 2 years' experience within the fire and security industry
• Strong knowledge of installation and servicing of multi-discipline systems
• Full UK driving licence
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Good communication and customer-facing skills
• Willingness to participate in on-call rota
• Relevant industry qualifications (desirable but not essential depending on experience)

Fire: C-Tec, Fike, Advanced, Hochiki, Apollo, Kentec, Protec (Addressable & Conventional)

Intruder: Pyronix, Orisec, Galaxy, Texecom, Scantronic, Risco, Menvier

CCTV: Dahua

Access Control: Paxton, Videx, ACET

Working Hours & Package:

• Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm
• Occasional Saturday work with notice (paid extra)
• 28 days holiday including bank holidays
