FinOps Managing Consultant – Capgemini Invent

Your Role

As a Senior Manager in Cloud Economics / FinOps, you will be part of our Cloud Advisory capability within the Business Technology unit. You will advise clients on processes and solutions to maximize value from cloud at all stages of adoption. You will work across all levels of an organisation to innovate, design and implement new cloud economics models.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cost Optimisation Analysis – review usage patterns to identify savings and guide users on optimisation.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis – prepare detailed reports, forecast spend and present to senior client management.
  • Policy and Governance – establish cloud governance policies, guardrails and best practice to assure cost control.
  • Training and Enablement – provide FinOps training and promote culture of accountability.
  • Vendor Engagement – connect and manage relationships with cloud vendors.
  • Business Development – lead/contribute to proposals, RFPs, bids, pitch contribution and client hosting at events.
  • Internal Contribution – develop campaigns, think‑tanks, whitepapers, practice development and offer development.
  • Learning & Development – support career growth and skill demands through training, certifications etc.
Your Profile
  • Experience on FinOps projects and initiatives.
  • Setup and definition of Cloud FinOps CoEs and governance models for large or mid‑sized organisations.
  • FinOps certification.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP.
  • Knowledge of billing, metering, TCO analysis.
  • Hands‑on use of FinOps and TBM tools such as Cloudability, CloudCheckr, CloudHealth, AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management.
  • Understanding of cost optimisation techniques across storage, data transfer, compute, database and monitoring.
  • Understanding of cloud contracting, commitment and licensing models.
  • Successful in matrixed organisations and able to gain support and commitment from peers for consulting solutions.
  • Experience in proposition building and delivery.
  • Cloud practitioner certification.
  • Comfortable client‑facing role, preferably with consulting or advisory experience.
  • Evidence of successfully delivering and leading advisory engagements and driving positive outcomes.
  • Evidence of managing teams and multiple workstreams in complex delivery environments.
  • Ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders.
  • Business development: ability to generate £1 m of consulting revenues using organisational and personal networks.
