Are you a reliable, hands‑on team player with experience in print or production finishing? We’re looking for a Finishing Operative to join our client’s busy production department at a well‑established organisation working with major UK clients. This is an excellent opportunity to build a long‑term career in a fast‑moving environment where quality, accuracy and teamwork really matter.

About the Role

As a Finishing Operative, you will work as part of a skilled production team to ensure all jobs are completed on time, to specification, and to the highest quality standards. Your day‑to‑day responsibilities will include:

  • Operating a range of finishing equipment (e.g. guillotines, folders, stitchers, binding equipment, enclosing/mailing machines, or similar)
  • Inspecting work for quality and consistency
  • Following job specifications, production plans, and safety procedures
  • Completing basic machine adjustments, setups and routine maintenance
  • Accurately recording job information and maintaining production workflow
  • Supporting the wider team with general production duties when required
  • Full training will be provided on specific equipment as needed
About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in print finishing, direct mail finishing, packaging finishing or a similar production role (preferred but not essential)
  • Comfortable working with machinery and production tools
  • Quality‑focused with high attention to detail
  • Able to work well as part of a team and meet deadlines
  • Reliable, punctual and committed to maintaining a safe working environment
  • Flexible and willing to learn new equipment or processes
