Job summary

ITS (Cheltenham) Ltd is seeking a Finishing Foreman / Assistant Site Manager for a busy residential housing development in Swadlincote, Derbyshire. You will support the Site Manager with day-to-day site operations, focusing on finishing works, quality, and plot handover readiness.

Responsibilities include managing finishing trades, coordinating snagging, monitoring build standards, and ensuring health and safety compliance across multiple plots.

Qualifications

• Experience as Finishing Foreman or Assistant Site Manager or similar.
• Strong residential housebuilding experience.
• Knowledge of finishing, snagging and handover processes.
• CSCS card, SMSTS/SSSTS, First Aid.

• Assist with the day-to-day management of the residential housing site
• Oversee finishing trades and subcontractors across multiple plots
• Drive plots through to completion and handover
• Monitor quality, workmanship and build standards
• Coordinate snagging and ensure issues are addressed efficiently
• Carry out plot inspections and ensure homes are ready for handover
• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers and the wider site team
• Maintain health and safety standards across the development
• Support the Site Manager with general site management duties

Finishing Foreman / Assistant Site Manager

Location: Swadlincote, Derbyshire
Day Rate: 250 per day
Contract: Freelance
Start: ASAP

We are currently recruiting for a Finishing Foreman / Assistant Site Manager to join a busy residential housing development in Swadlincote, Derbyshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Finishing Foreman or Assistant Site Manager with a strong background in residential housebuilding. The successful candidate will support the Site Manager with the day-to-day running of the development, with a particular focus on finishing works, quality and ensuring plots are completed to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the day-to-day management of the residential housing site
• Oversee finishing trades and subcontractors across multiple plots
• Drive plots through to completion and handover
• Monitor quality, workmanship and build standards
• Coordinate snagging and ensure issues are addressed efficiently
• Carry out plot inspections and ensure homes are ready for CMLs and handover
• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers and the wider site team
• Maintain health and safety standards across the development
• Support the Site Manager with general site management duties

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Finishing Foreman, Assistant Site Manager or similar
• Strong residential housebuilding experience
• Good understanding of finishing, snagging and handover processes
• Experience working on new build housing developmentsCSCS card
• SMSTS or SSSTS
• First Aid
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and support a busy site team
