Job summary

Optima Site Solutions Ltd is recruiting an experienced Finishing Site Manager for a high-end residential development of around 70 plots in Exeter. You will oversee finishing works across multiple plots, coordinating trades to ensure each property meets requirements and is ready for handover.

The role requires a hands-on approach, excellent attention to detail, and a proven track record delivering quality residential finishes.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Finishing Site Manager or in a similar residential site management role.
• A track record of delivering high-quality residential finishes through to handover.
• Strong knowledge of finishing trades, sequencing and quality control.
• Confident managing subcontractors and keeping multiple plots progressing.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication and organisational skills.
• Relevant site management qualifications and up-to-date health and safety training.

Responsibilities

• Manage finishing trades and subcontractors across multiple plots.
• Coordinate internal works, ensuring labour and materials are available to maintain progress.
• Carry out quality inspections, identify defects and manage snagging and de-snagging.
• Check workmanship against drawings, specifications and agreed standards.
• Monitor progress against completion dates and report any issues to the site management team.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety, housekeeping and protection of completed works.
• Prepare plots for inspections and handover.

Salary / Day Rate: £300 - £350 (Depending on Experience)

Optima Site Solutions is recruiting an experienced Finishing Site Manager for a high-end residential development of approximately 70 plots in Exeter.

This opportunity would suit someone with a strong residential background, an excellent eye for detail and a hands-on approach to delivering quality homes.

The Role

You will oversee the finishing stages of the development, coordinating trades and ensuring each property meets the required specification and quality standards ahead of handover. Working closely with the site management team, you will keep finishing works on programme and drive the timely resolution of defects.
