Job summary

Skipton Building Society is hiring a Customer Consultant to join the Barnoldswick & Clitheroe branches. You will welcome customers in-branch or on the phone, assess their needs, and guide them through savings products and services.

The role supports both branches with emphasis on face-to-face and virtual service while maintaining accurate records. You will be part of a mutual, customer-focused organisation that values exceptional service, teamwork, and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Experience interacting with customers.
• Background in banking/builidng society is welcome but not required.
• Experience in branch, contact centre or both.
• Ability to work well in a team and adapt to busy periods.
• Strong time management and one-team mindset.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact in-branch and over the phone.
• Understand customer needs and provide tailored information on savings products and services.
• Record interactions accurately using internal systems.
• Proactively reach out to customers by phone to discuss support options.
• Promote a positive customer experience by listening and solving problems.
• Maintain high standards of service and compliance with policies.
