Role Overview

Lead Finance role for the Vistry Works Warrington Site. Requires leading the team to deliver on month end accounts and reporting alongside cashflow management for the business. The role adds value to the business through excellent financial and operational understanding, offering actionable ideas and initiatives to support future growth. It drives a Business Partnering culture within the team, ensuring influence across the organisation, and takes a lead on key cross‑functional process, efficiency and growth projects. It works alongside peers to ensure consistency of approach across all Vistry Works factories.

Leadership in delivering insightful and actionable financial reporting that has a meaningful impact on the operational efficiency of the factory is essential. The role ensures monthly accounts and reporting packs are accurate, timely and clearly communicate key variances with appropriate actions. All reporting must be fit for purpose and appropriate for the intended audience. Ad‑hoc management information requests for the Operations Directory, Vistry Works finance director, managing director and Group Finance Team are also part of the role.

Lead external reporting requirements for Vistry Works Warrington, building good working relationships with Group Finance. Lead the preparation of the Budget and Five‑Year Strategic Plan for the factory. Ensure a strong financial control environment is maintained within the factory.

Responsibilities
  • Lead finance team for the Vistry Works Warrington Site
  • Deliver month‑end accounts and reporting with accurate, timely financial data
  • Manage cashflow and support future growth through actionable financial insights
  • Promote a Business Partnering culture within the finance team
  • Deliver key cross‑functional process, efficiency and growth projects
  • Collaborate with peers for consistent financial reporting across all VW factories
  • Ensure reporting is fit for purpose and appropriately communicated to stakeholders
  • Provide ad‑hoc management information to Operations Directory, Vistry Works FD, Managing Director and Group Finance Team
  • Lead external reporting (HY and FY) for Vistry Works Warrington and maintain strong relationships with Group Finance
  • Prepare the Budget and Five‑Year Strategic Plan for the factory
  • Maintain a strong financial control environment
Qualifications
  • Qualified Accountant with many years of experience (ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified)
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Effective communicator, both with finance and non‑finance professionals
  • Strong team player who works effectively with others
  • Strong technical acumen with a significant understanding of manufacturing finance
  • Drive and ambition essential for the role
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, with Excel at an advanced level
