Grant Thornton UK is seeking an exceptional Finance Transformation Manager or Assistant Manager in Finance Consulting to drive controllership transformation and close automation initiatives. You will work with senior finance leaders, shaping our controllership offering and delivering high-impact engagements across multiple clients.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification (ACA/ICAS/CA/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA) with post-qualification experience.
• Genuine interest in finance transformation and technology's role in improving close processes.
• Confidence engaging with senior finance stakeholders and managing expectations.

Responsibilities

• Lead workstreams within controllership and financial close transformation engagements.
• Analyse current-state close processes to identify bottlenecks and automation opportunities.
• Design better close calendars, reconciliation frameworks, and intercompany workflows.
• Support finance technology implementations across FloQast, OneStream, and Prophix.
• Develop process documentation, policy frameworks, and training materials.
• Build day-to-day relationships with client finance teams as a trusted contact.
• Manage engagement budgets and timelines, escalating where needed.
• Collaborate across Consulting and Grant Thornton to bring the best capabilities.
