Job summary

Grant Thornton UK is seeking an exceptional Senior Manager/Associate Director to scale our Controllership Transformation and Financial Close Automation practice. This high‑profile role sits at the intersection of finance operations, process redesign and enabling technology, working alongside senior finance leaders and shaping the future of our controllership offering.

Qualifications

Significant experience in controllership and financial close transformation.
Hands-on implementation or advisory experience with close automation or EPM platforms.
Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, ICAS or equivalent) strongly preferred.
Deep understanding of close processes: financial close, reconciliation, consolidation and reporting.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end controllership transformation programmes from current-state diagnostic to future-state operating model.
Own financial close automation workstreams including design, configuration, testing and change management.
Advise on close technology platform selection (FloQast, OneStream, Prophix).
Redesign close and consolidation processes and drive calendar optimization.
Develop policy and control frameworks to accelerate and secure the close.
Drive journal entry, reconciliation and variance automation.
Translate finance and technology challenges into actionable roadmaps for clients.
Manage delivery across multiple engagements with quality, time, and budget discipline.
