We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established, values-led organisation in the North East seeking an experienced Finance Officer to join them on a part-time, 3-month temporary basis.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, the role will focus on maintaining core finance and payroll operations, supporting handover and documentation, and ensuring day-to-day financial processes run smoothly during a period of change.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing day-to-day finance activities, including payroll, purchase ledger, and expense processing
  • Preparing and posting journals, accruals, and prepayments
  • Reconciling accounts, including supplier ledgers, income streams, and credit card transactions
  • Ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting and documentation
  • Supporting handover, process documentation, and identifying any operational risks
  • Responding to routine finance queries and resolving discrepancies
  • Carrying out other finance-related tasks as required
Essential
  • Experience in Payroll and Purchase Ledger

Hours: 24 per week

Salary: £29,000 to £31,00 FTE
