Overview

Finance Manager - Stoke-on-Trent | Onsite Role | Car Allowance and Annual Bonus

Axon Moore is partnering with a leading PLC to recruit a Finance Manager for one of their most profitable and ambitious subsidiaries.

This is a number-one-in-finance role with high autonomy and direct exposure to the Board. You'll lead two direct reports and work closely with the operational team to understand processes, cost drivers, and commercial dynamics. Your focus will be on P&L and KPI analysis, cost control, and supporting key commercial decisions, including tenders and customer negotiations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update the standard cost model across contracts
  • Prepare contract performance reports, including forecasts and variance analysis
  • Monthly P&L reporting with commentary
  • Balance sheet reviews and analysis
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Monthly stock reconciliations with gain/loss analysis
  • Support year-end audit
  • Ad-hoc management reporting and analysis
Requirements
  • Fully qualified CIMA, ACCA
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Flexible and collaborative team player
  • Ideally within 30 minutes of Stoke/Newcastle Under Lyme
  • Contract or IFRS 15 experience is advantageous but not essential
