Job description

Hutcheon Mearns have been engaged by a Private Equity backed renewables business to source a Finance Manager on a full time, staff basis. This role will be based in Dyce with flexible working. Our client is highly acquisitive and is growing their presence in the offshore wind sector. This presents an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to step up into a Finance Manager role or individuals currently operating at this level. This is a hands-on role where you will play a crucial role in preparing monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, budgeting/forecasting and liaising with auditors.To be considered, you will be fully qualified or actively studying. This role is a key function of the Finance department and interfaces with Senior Management, finance teams within the renewables divisions and external advisors.

The Opportunity

• Produce monthly management accounts
• Produce balance sheet reconciliations for entities as required
• Prepare monthly P&L Analysis and group working papers in line with the reporting timetable
• Support the production of a monthly divisional result pack for discussion with management
• Follow good reporting procedures, working with entities and Group Finance
• Support entity finance teams in their daily queries
• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and the reforecasting process
• Investigate and report on financial factors influencing business performance
• Liaise with UK and overseas auditors and tax advisors to ensure individual annual financial statements are submitted in line with respective in-country deadlines and assist with submissions required

Background and Experience

• Qualified Accountant or actively studying (CA/ACCA/CIMA)
• Strong management accounting experience
• Experience of operating in a dynamic, fast paced environment
• Exceptional numerical and analytical skills
• Experienced communicator across the business, developing good working relationships within the team
• Good Excel skills
