Job summary

aaa Consulting is seeking an experienced finance professional to take ownership of the finance function across a growing group of businesses, initially focusing on two newer entities before becoming involved across the wider group as the business continues to expand.

The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day financial management, including management accounts, budgeting, cashflow forecasting, VAT, bank reconciliations, intercompany accounting and financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACCA/CIMA/CA or equivalent.
• 2-3 years post-qualified experience.
• Strong management accounting and cashflow management experience.
• Autonomous, able to own the finance function.
• Commercial-minded, proactive and forward-thinking.
• Comfortable in a growing family-owned business.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate handover of management accounts, banking and HMRC registrations for new acquisitions.
• Manage day-to-day financial operations across multiple entities.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Manage cashflow forecasting, budgeting and financial planning.
• Complete bank reconciliations, VAT returns and tax processes.
• Oversee intercompany accounting and reconciliations.
• Liaise with external accountants for year-end accounts.
• Monitor banking facilities, loan commitments and obligations.
• Support project cost planning and analysis.
• Assist with building and developing the finance team as the business grows.
• Take increasing ownership of forecasting, reporting and strategic financial management.
