Job summary

AD Finance is seeking a commercially minded Finance Manager to own the finance function within a growing SME. This role blends strong financial control with commercial insight and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will lead monthly management accounts, balance sheet integrity, and develop a high‑performing finance team while improving processes and systems.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or QBE considered.
• Experience producing management accounts and leading month-end processes.
• Strong financial controls and balance sheet reconciliation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly management accounts and month-end reporting.
• Maintain robust financial controls and balance sheet integrity.
• Partner with operational stakeholders to provide commercial insight.
• Support cash flow forecasting and working capital management.
• Manage, mentor and develop the finance team.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Oversee VAT and supplier payments as applicable.
• Drive improvements to processes and reporting.
