Finance Assistant

£28,000 - £30,000 Pro Rata

We are currently working with a growing business who are looking to bring in an experienced Finance Support professional on a temporary basis, with the potential for this to become a permanent role for the right person.

This is a hands‑on, varied role supporting a busy finance function during a period of change and development. The role offers flexibility around working hours (typically 20-25 hours per week, with the option to increase as required).

Description of the role:

You will be providing day-to-day financial support, with a particular focus on:

  • Accruals and prepayments
  • Supporting month-end processes
  • Maintaining, analysing and reconciling data in Excel
  • Reviewing, cleansing and integrating historic financial information
  • Supporting with spreadsheet‑based projects and reporting
  • Assisting with personal tax documentation and information relating to rental properties
About you:
  • Proven experience working with accruals and prepayments
  • Strong Excel skills – comfortable working with large data sets, formulas, and analysis
  • A hands‑on, detail‑focused finance professional
  • Comfortable working independently and supporting ongoing projects
  • Experience within finance support, accounts, or similar roles
