Job description
Overview

This is an excellent opportunity to join the finance function of a global law and professional services firm. Supporting regional operations and reporting to senior finance leaders, this role focuses on accurate financial record-keeping, processing payments, and contributing to budgeting and reporting activities across multiple jurisdictions.

Duties
  • Preparing payment support packs and monthly supplier/expense runs.
  • Posting payments and operating as a 4-eye reviewer of finance batches.
  • Entering and releasing payments via the banking platform.
  • Reconciling payroll control and intercompany accounts.
  • Posting journals for prepayments, accruals, bad debts, and intercompany charges.
  • Maintaining bad debt, prepayment, and accruals schedules.
  • Preparing budget variance reports across departments (e.g. HR, Marketing, Operations).
  • Assisting in the preparation and submission of reports to the national statistics office.
  • Supporting audit processes by responding to queries and preparing documentation.
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders to support budgeting, planning, and financial analysis.
Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar finance or accounting support role and may be working towards a professional qualification (though time-barred accountants will also be considered). A working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is essential. Experience with financial systems such as Aderant is desirable. Candidates must demonstrate accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across a busy regional finance function.
