Vargo is recruiting for a fast-growing fintech business specialising in pensions and investments. The role ensures accurate cash and asset reconciliations, processes payments, and provides management information. The role requires knowledge of FCA CASS rules and Principle 10 to maintain compliance and protect client assets.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily cash and asset reconciliations in line with FCA CASS rules.
• Investigate and escalate reconciliation breaks.
• Keep accurate records for audits and regulatory reviews.
• Process payments via Barclays .Net securely and accurately.
• Record and track transactions in SUN General Ledger.
• Provide samples for audits and regulatory checks.
• Monitor shared inboxes and respond to queries within deadlines.
• Work with internal teams to resolve issues.
• Support process improvements and risk identification.

Requirements

• Experience in reconciliations or payments in financial services.
• Knowledge of FCA CASS (esp. CASS 6 & 7) and Principle 10.
• Familiarity with Barclays .Net and general ledger systems (e.g., SUN).
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work under pressure.
• Comfortable with audit requirements and regulatory standards.
• Solid Excel skills (intermediate‑advanced).
