Job summary

Flotek is seeking a Telecoms Maintenance Engineer based in Fife to support customers across Scotland and the North of England. This is a field-based role focused on telecoms and connectivity with a basic IT support element.

You’ll install, maintain and troubleshoot hosted voice, telephony and connectivity solutions, attending both planned installations and reactive service calls. Travel is required, including occasional overnight stays, and a full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' telecoms/field engineering experience.
• Strong VoIP and hosted telephony experience.
• Understanding of SIP, RTP, NAT and networking fundamentals.
• Experience with routing, switching, VLANs, wireless and firewalls.
• Structured cabling, patching and handset deployment experience.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent customer-facing communication.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve on-site telephony, voice and connectivity issues.
• Deliver handset deployments, telephony installations and moves/adds/changes.
• Install and troubleshoot SIP trunks, broadband circuits, routers, switches and firewalls.
• Carry out proactive maintenance visits and site health checks.
• Coordinate with carriers, suppliers and Openreach engineers.
• Provide basic first-line IT support for desktops, laptops, printers and Microsoft 365 queries.
• Own incidents through to resolution, escalating where required.
• Maintain documentation within HaloPSA and ITGlue.
• Deliver excellent customer service and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Participate in a shared on-call rota.
