Flotek Group is seeking a Comms Specialist Engineer (Desk-Based) to provide high-quality remote support across VoIP, connectivity, and data networking. This desk-based role sits in Pencoed, Bridgend, South Wales, working Monday to Friday in a full-time capacity.

The salary ranges from £28,000 to £32,000 per annum, depending on experience. The role requires strong troubleshooting, customer communication, and a drive to progress within the communications engineering field.

Qualifications

• Experience in VoIP/telecoms support roles (1–2 years ideal).
• Strong understanding of SIP, RTP, NAT and VoIP fundamentals.
• Customer-focused with clear, professional communication in a fast-paced helpdesk.

Responsibilities

• Act as first point of contact for telecom incidents per ITIL.
• Manage tickets and SLAs, document updates clearly.
• Own incidents from detection to resolution.
• Troubleshoot VoIP, SIP trunks, handsets, routers, circuits.
• Coordinate with carriers to progress faults and resolutions.
• Monitor service quality and outages; minimize customer impact.
• Document known issues for continual service improvement.
